I am a PhD candidate in the Computer Science and Engineering Department, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) supervised by inspiring Dr. Bo Li with the research direction of Human-Computer Interaction. During the journey, I also received wonderful and professional guidance from Dr. Yixin Zou in the Human-Centered Security and Privacy group at the Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy (MPI-SP). Before my PhD, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering Department at Southwest University in 2018 supervised by responsible Dr. Chao Gao with the research direction of Data Mining.

My work aims to understand technology-mediated harm faced by vulnerable and marginalized groups including harm generation and harm mitigation. Specifically

I focus on the intersectional field of human-computer interaction and security & privacy, especially for older adults’ security and privacy in the digital world about their security and privacy perceptions and risks.
I am also interested in the feminist HCI, especially about the online harm related to the gender topic.
